Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in his 90th year. Special husband of Carol Smith for 66 years. Beloved father of Michael Smith (Julie Smith), Shelley Smith and Carrie Smith-Van Puymbroeck (Jeff Van Puymbroeck). Cherished grandfather of Ryan Zizek (Jenna), Jessica Rawlings (Dave), Emerson Smith (Krystal), Mason, Trevor and MaKenna Van-Puymbroeck. Loving great-grandfather of Joel, Hailey and Marshall Smith, Joshua Barkley, Mathew and Benjamin Fenske. His siblings Yvonne Hein (Hal), Wayne Smith (Mary) and Trudy Mussleman (Peter). Predeceased by his parents Bill and Dorothy Smith and brother Bob Smith.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Justin’s Church, 855 Jalna Blvd, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 10am. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Ted Smith to The Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
